  • Invention and innovation award
  • Best practice in Beekeeping award
  • Best applied research award

Award amount: $ 2000 for the first winner, $ 1,500 for the second winner and $ 1000 for the third winner.

 

First : Conditions of the award of the best innovation in bee breeding and honey production

  1. Provide a detailed report on innovation in maximum 5 A4 pages
  2. Provide illustrations or video footage illustrating the practice and its results
  3. Innovation should not have won any previous awards in the world.
  4. Innovative should be perfectly new in the field of beekeeping and honey production or have been modified but not a fundamental modification
  5. Deadline for receiving reports 1 March 2019

 

Participations should be submitted in reports containing pictures and videos to: Scientific@apiarab.org

 

Innovation Award Criteria:

  1. Innovation should serve the development of the bee field
  2. Innovation should be original
  3. Innovation should be easily applicable
  4. Innovation results
  5. The innovator or researcher should be able to present all aspects of innovation in a clear manner and explain the areas of its uses and application.

 

Second : Conditions of Best Practices Award in Beekeeping:

  1. Provide a detailed report on innovation in maximum 5 A4 pages
  2. Provide illustrations or video footage illustrating the practice and its results
  3. Innovative should be perfectly new in the field of beekeeping and honey production or have been modified but not a fundamental modification
  4. Innovation should not have won any previous awards in the world.
  5. Deadline for receiving reports 1 March 2019

Winners’ Selection Criteria:

  1. Innovation should be easily applicable
  2. Innovation should be modern and original
  3. Can be developed and updated
  4. Based on sound scientific foundations
  5. Materials used in the implementation of the idea and its relationship to the environment
  6. Effect of practice on beekeeping and honey production
  7. Effect on workers in the bee sector
  8. Clear results

 

Third : Conditions of the awards best scientific research in the science of bees:

  1. The research should provide an integrated version of scientific research
  2. The research should be new research in the field of beekeeping and honey production
  3. The research should enjoy originality and clarity of results
  4. The research should has not received any previous awards in the world.
  5. Deadline for receiving the research 1 March 2019

Criteria for selecting the best applied scientific research:

  1. Clarity of the title and its relevance to the content of the search,
  2. Professionalism in the presentation of previous studies and use them to reach a solution to the problem of the research subject,
  3. The method of displaying the hypothesis and that such method should enjoy the ability to be researched and analyzed and to lead to displaying the purpose of the search in a sound manner,
  4. Application of scientific protocols in the collection of samples and methods, tools and devices used in the conduct of research,
  5. Statistical programs used and the extent of benefit from statistical analysis in clarifying the results
  6. Modernity and comprehensiveness of references, the method of writing the research and the quality of the research summary
  7. The extent of applicability of the results obtained
